Inaugural Carolina Billiards Tour Event Allison at CBT event

(August 8-9th, 2009. Charlotte, NC)     Last weekend I took part in the first Carolina Billiard Tour event. I am pleased to say I emerged victorious and was very happy with my game. We have some great WPBA players in Charlotte area including Kelly Fisher, Gerda Hofstatter, Kim Shaw, Val Finnie and Holly Sholes. There were 28 entries and it was a double elimination format with alternating breaks. The pros raced to 9 and the amateurs to 7.

In the hot seat final, I lost to Kelly 9-8 then beat Gerda 9-0 and faced Kelly again in a race to 9 final. I regrouped and ended up winning the match 9-6.

Special thanks go to Kristi Carter and Kim Shaw who are the founders of the CBT. Also to Max Terry the owner of Burrkat Billiards in Monroe for hosting the event. There were medals for the winner and runner up.  This was also a qualifier for the WPBA Colorado Classic in September. This was won by Dana Aft – Congratulations and welcome to the WPBA tour. The APA top finisher was Gina Mashburn and the winner of the second chance event was Holly Sholes. Well done ladies.
