Allison’s Academy is held on select weekends throughout the year. Sessions are open to only six students at a time, and spots fill up quickly.
Friday 6:00 p.m.- Welcome dinner at a local restaurant for everyone to get to know each other.
Saturday 10:00 a.m.- Day 1
The goal of Day 1 is to build a good routine. The day starts with a seminar where Allison Fisher will be teaching and demonstrating everything for that lesson. You are encouraged to ask questions and take notes. The afternoon session will be spent working on various drills. The day ends around 5:00 p.m., after which we all go to dinner and relax.
Sunday 10:00 a.m.- Day 2
Today will be spent discussing other aspects of the game. We will be covering the tangent line, jump shots, side -spin, throw, mechanical bridge, shot selection, safeties, kicking and banking. Again we will finish up around 5 p.m. as some students will be catching flights home.
The purpose of the school is to open your eyes to new things, improve your awareness and to help you better use the tools that you already have. It is a school for all skill levels. We will also discuss the mental game and our experiences over the two days. As an instructor and player I always keep my mind open to learning new things. As a player from two different cue sports I am lucky to have the insight from different perspectives and help you understand and utilize different ways of doing things.Hopefully you will leave with great memories, good friends and a wealth of knowledge.
